Kelly Hunt Collins has created a world that takes you away. This is a book that has everything, dragons, elves, fairies, heros and heroines. The women in this story are strong, independent, loving women. This is not a book to read slowly. Once you start reading, you won't want to put it down until the end. It leaves you hungry for the next book. Great story and great characters make for a wonderful and exciting reading experience. Thank you Kelly for book one. We are anxiously waiting for book two.
I thoroughly enjoyed this first in The Fey Chronicles series and am so excited already for the next one. I instantly took a liking to all of the characters and I felt that I knew them on some levels, the various different aspects of their personalities, the challenges they were confronted with, the higher level of communication and respect in the connection with the main characters Helen and Ian.
As I neared the middle of the book, it was so hard for me to put it down, when things started to culminate in the battle between the darkness and the light, the ego and the spirit, the love and the fear...and I feel that Kelly Hunt-Collins does an amazing job of merging the Earth realm with the Spiritual/Fantastical realm of the fey. Truly, the fey world is seen as one which didn't have as much destruction or control from the darkness, a more untouched world, and that in saving the fey world, the Earth plane is naturally affected.
I am very excited about the next book in the series as it was hard to part from the journeying with the fey and with both Helen and Ian...
